​This two and a half day course is an in-depth introduction to all aspects of Green Woodwork.

From moving and processing the freshly felled tree, to working the timber into functional items. You will learn to use a variety of traditional hand tool techniques, including sawing and cleaving, working with a draw knife, using a shave horse and a pole lathe. You will also learn what to look for when buying tools, how to sharpen them and what woods are best to use for particular projects. 
You can expect to take home a finished stool or a variety of pole lathe turned items such as a candlestick, tool handles or garden dibber.

​Students are required to wear sturdy boots and outdoor clothes, and bring a packed lunch.
The course runs from 12-4 on the Friday and from 10-4 on Saturday and Sunday.
