This course is suitable for beginners and those with experience of green woodwork. Students are given the freedom to explore their own interpretation of the Welsh Stick Chair.

Tuition starts with an introduction to green woodwork and then covers all aspects of chair making in some depth, including the design, construction and finishing of Welsh Stick chairs.

This is a good way of learning Windsor-type chair making techniques, which can then be expanded into more adventurous interpretations, depending on past experience

Students are required to wear sturdy boots and outdoor clothes.
Fees include lunch.
​Additional charge of £10 - £50 for seat timber.
